Life on LBI-School Has Started
Long Beach Island Living
As is the case with most of New Jersey and the surrounding areas, schools on Long Beach Island start the first week of September. There are three elementary schools on Long Beach Island, one in Beach Haven and two that cover the rest of LBI. Beach Haven School is, as one might expect, located in Beach HavenThe other two schools are in Ship Bottom and Surf City. The Ship Bottom and Surf City schools form the LBI School District and are larger than Beach Haven’s school. All three schools are comprised of a mix of local residents and some students who live on the Mainland! The schools on LBI run from kindergarten to 6th grade. After 6th grade, students typically will attend Southern Regional Middle School and Southern Regional High School in Stafford Township.
